I am to be married this coming May to a wonderful man who has never lived, fathered or been close to children. He is trying very, very hard but my 7 yr old DD has taken his inexsperince and turned it against him. She has figured out how to push his buttons! And he is at a loss. I have tried to guide him in my ways but, alas, they don't seem to work for him. What would be your fatherly help I could share with him? He is afraid he is going to "damage her."
(DD is still in contact with her dad and sees him 3-5 times a week but never sleeps over. Dad and new DH get along great as do I and X. Just a little background)
