Looking for a pediatrician

Does anyone know of a good pediatrician in the DC area? I am looking for someone who is open to alternative healing and non-vaxing, but who is also accessible by public transportation within the DC area. Anyone know of a pediatrician who fits this bill?

I wish I had one for you we are moving to dc in january and leaving our pediatrician who is non-vax friendly and a homeopath is one of the hardest things. We are actively looking now so I'LL let you know if I find anyone. Please let me know if you hear anything.

You might want to PM ColesMom to see who her ped is in DC. NaturalMom goes to a Dr. Razi (don't know more info than that) in the area. You may want to PM her as well and get more information.

I go to Dr. June Fusner at Kensington Pediatrics (it's just her for now) on Connecticut Avenue in Kensington MD; she's non-vax friendly (she advocates them but is open to discussion and is fine with whatever you want to do) and is also into homeopathy.

Out in Rockville MD, Dr. Helen Tsitouris is also non-vax friendly (I don't think she advocates vaxes) and is very into alternative medicine.

i'll second the recommendation for June Fusner. She was recommended to me by a friend, and I just interviewed her last week and loved her. Since i'm pg with #1, i haven't actually used her yet, but she seemed great, and for those interested offers homeopathic options. as the other poster said, she thinks vaxing is good, but respects your decision to either not vax, selectively vax, or do it on a delayed schedule.

the other homeopathic-oriented ped who was recommended to me (haven't interviewed her yet) is Dr. Iona Razi, whose practice is in NW DC. i don't have her info handy, but i'll try and post it later. the only downside with her is she doesn't take insurance - you have to submit your own claims.
