I've read what there is to read about taking Clomid and bf'ing. My question is: Have any of you taken it while nursing?

And I'd like to know if it affected your supply as well!

I'm currently on my fourth round of clomid while breastfeeding. Magdalena will be 18 months next week and I took 150 mg this round. There has been no decrease in supply whastoever.
This is our last ditch effort at Clomid. We check Monday to see if there are any follicles. If not we move on to Repronex (injectable).

So, can you do Repronex and breastfeed, or are you going to have to wean?

I have not been told to wean. Honestly I'm hoping to not have to do Repronex. heh. We had an u/s on Monday and saw two really good follicles, one on each side. I triggered yesterday and should ovulate tonight. I've only ovulated once in the entire time I've been married (three years 8/10) and that resulted in Magdalena. So now ovulating with two eggs we are really :fingersx: My husband is a little nervous about the possibility of having twins. I could care less!

I did three cycles of clomid while b/f and say no change. They were 50, 100, and 150. I have done 2 cycles of repronex now and have seen no change too. I am b/f a 19 month old. I am also on progesterone this cycle and metformin. I have read nothing that says you have to wean to use these meds. I have medications and mothers milk and always refrence that nad my lc to make sure it is safe. Also trying to get a baby is the only high tech thing I do. I have natural childbirth and all the ap stuff. It's just sometimes you got to do what you got to do, you know? I hope all goes well with you and I hope if you have to use clomid that it works well for you. I couldn't handle my moodswing s on it when they got me to 150. Next time I will go straight to repronex. BTW, I had infertility with trying to get ds too so this is nothing new to me. Feel free to pm me if you want.

Well, I've finally got an infertility specialist appointment at the end of September. I can't wait, I'm so excited. I hope, though, that she doesn't bother to ask if I'm still nursing. Do you think she will? DS will be 26 mos old then. Anyway, thanks for bumping my thread. I'll keep it updated after my appointment.

Can I ask why you took Clomid?
We are TTC in vain - AF hasnt returned - Sam is 26 months and we are getting desperate. No one wants to touch me while I am still nursing...

So from what you ladies are told... it's OK to take Clomid & Repronex while bfing. In order to get pg. with Aiden, I had to take both AT THE SAME TIME... I"m sure when we start TTC for our next little miracle, we'll have to do the same thing. I came on here to find out if I would have to wean him... I really don't want to!
Good luck to each and every mama on this board this month!!!!
