My DD has this habit of grabbing things. Anything that catches her eye really. She'll even go out of her way to find ways to GET what caught her attention. Normal toddler curiosity. *It does frustrate my DH to no end mind you*

I've come up with a real clever fun solution to the grabby grabs.

"I see someone's hands are getting boorred! Mommy's gonna eat the grabby monster!" then chase her around the house than catch her and nibble on her fingers while prying the object she grabbed out of her other hand. She doesn't even realize what she worked hard to grab was gone out of her hands, therefore no "Hey that was MINE" tantrum.

Most of her grabby grabbies focus around electronics, CD's, DVD's. Stuff that we have out of her reach, but she manages to creativly problem solve to get anyway. Poor DH is driven to distraction with it. But even he likes the eating the grabby grabby monster hehehe.

That seems like a great solution. Grabby hands are pretty prevalent with kids I would guess, since there are so many interesting things to learn and explore. It's good to have a way to help them learn what to and what not to grab in a gentle way.
