Has anyone heard of Proxceed?

Hello! This is my first post, although I have visited several times. My dh and I have been ttc #2 for over a year now and I went to see my midwife last month (finally) to see if I could get some help. I had tried using an opk about 4 or 5 times but would get so disgusted everytime I wasted $20 or so that I haven't used them lately. Anyway, I don't really have anything to base it on, but I have concerns that my dh may have a low sperm count (he's 42 and under a lot of stress:( with his job) To make a long story short my midwife is having me chart for 3 months and go back and see her and also recommended getting Proxceed for my dh to take. Apparently it's a nutritional drink to enhance sperm. I haven't looked into getting it yet because it sounded kind of like a longshot. Does anyone know anything about it?

Yes, it's a supplement. It's basically L Carnitine which is an amino acid. Proxeed is expensive (100.00 month) so I know some have chosen to just take L Carnitine instead of proxeed. It's supposed to improve motility and sperm count, but AFAIK there haven't been any large studies proving it works.

By the way, because of the sperm maturation rate, I would give anything at least 90 days before I expect to see results.
