Hi all,

My very best friend in the world moved to Cheyenne in June and she is having a rough time connecting with like-minded moms out there. She has a wonderful little guy named Tyler who will be two in Febuary and is still nursing. GO Whit. I am hoping to help her meet some new friends. I count her as one of the blessings in my life and know she would bring joy to anyone who was fortunate enough to become her friend. I have met some great new people through this board. I hope I can give her the gift of friendship this holiday season.

Please let me know if you are out there.

Hello!! I'm not quite in Wyoming, but I'm only 60 miles from the border .... hate to admit I have no idea how far that is from Cheyenne  I'm in Rapid City and I'm on the lookout myself for cool moms to meet in this area :) Should your friend ever happen to swing thru the hills, I'd love to meet her ~ if she's close, I'd even do a drive by :D especially if she is in need of support, I nursed both my kids past age 3 and I know it gets pretty lonely out here, seemingly in the middle of nowhere!! She's welcome to e-mail me, or IM me anytime she catches me online (AOL messenger: hahamommy :))
How lucky she is to have such a great friend in you!

Hi!

I've been in WY for three months now... I'm starting to meet a tribe of sorts, but I wouldn't say like-minded; just a nice, friendly group of folks.

I live in Rawlins and am lucky to have "discovered" the city rec center, where many stay-home moms frequent. Also, we go to the weekly story-hour at the library. We've met a lot of great moms and kids there, too.

A suggestion to your friend in Cheyenne... Fort Collins (Colorado) is just a hop skip and a jump away. Very progressive folks there and a lot more going on (it's a college town). We drove all the way to Ft. Colins for a free puppet show and workshop (it was definitely worht the trip for us!). There is stuff like that going on all the time in Ft. Collins (more so in the summer).

Good luck to her!

I was also going to suggest Fort Collins as a possibility. It is only about half and hour away - so not too bad.
