When can the doctor/you hear the heardbeat?

My ob never used the fetoscope, he always used the doppler. My midwife could hear the hearbeat with the fetoscope at around 34 weeks or so. (My uterus is tipped toward my back so that makes it hard, we have to wait until it gets big enough to tip forward.)

i think that around 20 weeks you can hear it with a fetoscope or stethoscope. much sooner with a doppler, around 10 weeks or so.
