I originally posted this in babywearing and they pointed me here. I want to make a mei ei or similar asian carrier. Any suggestion?

I used these instructions by Rev. Jan to make mine. She has more links at the bottom of the page, I would suggest checking them out as well. HTH!

http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/index.html?Baby/asian.html Rev. Jan's page -- I looked at the instructions from 3 of them & sort of meshed them into whatever seemed right -- it works great! :D

:yeah:

I used the same free pattern. It's cheap too and VERY easy. If the link doesn't work (I've had trouble linking with my bookmark this week...) You can find her site by googling Jan Andrea as well. Click on baby crafts.

My new Mei Tei cost me under $10 Canadian... Found GREAT fabric on sale and I have leftovers :D can't beat that can you :thumb
