What a coincidence...see my post above.
My gyn told me that OTC yeast creams are fine after 12 weeks gestation. The 7-day kind is apparently the one you should use during pregnancy. I think most of the OTC creams actually say that they're fine after the first trimester. You should probably check with your own health care provider first to be on the safe side, though.

When I get yeast infections i use diluted GSE on the outside and probiotics inside. I had that tearing on the outside with the last one and I mixed a probiotic capsule in calendula and put that on the lips kinda messy but it seemed to help. Hope you get rid of that soon. I know how nasty they can be.

I had a couple of them during my last pregnancy. I ended up with the regular monostat 5 or 7 day creams. It was the only thing that worked. My midwife does not like to use the 1 day or 3 day saying the chemical is in a stronger dose all at once and can often cause other issues from irritation.

Just want to add that when I was pregnant I had a yeast infection in the last eek that just wouldn't go away. I tried everything! and then had to do a monistat. Still, I delievered with it and it was totally fine. I wonder if the water birth had anything to do with that?
