Hi there! My dh is drawing up a proposal for grant work in Thailand. If we get this grant we would be living there for about a year next year. Anyone living there, native or other that wouldn't mind sharing some info w/ me?
Thanks! Brandy
Hi, I realize this is many months later than your original post so I am not sure if you will read it or not. I read a lot of posts but don't generally do much writing. I just decided to do a Thailand search and see what came up. I have been living here in Bangkok for about 3 years. I met and married a Thai man and we have a 17 month old daughter. We are actually in the process of applyng for his visa to return to the States in the spring. Let me know what kinds of things you might want some more info on and I will try to help. If you move here, I hope you love the country and the culture as much as I do! -Julia

It's been about 5mo. since your post, but wanted to let you know I've been in Thailand for almost 5 years now. We're American missionaries. Let me know if you need any info about living here!

I don't live in Thailand, but will be traveling there with my dh, his aunt and uncle, and my 2-year-old DD. I am going there to meet my dh's parents for the first time (his father is very ill).
His parents live in a small village near Lamphun.
Any tips for smooth travel? I am both excited and nervous. Mostly nervous that I will stick out like a sore thumb, but very excited to see and learn about my husband's birth country!
