Military Families?

I'm a new Mom, married to a Drill Instructor in the Marines. I'd like to find some AP Mommies who are also stationed in So. Cal. My husband is gone all the time and I wanted to find someone in the same boat.

We had our DD at Best Start Birth Center in San Diego and everyone we know was against it. They said I would be begging for drugs. :rolleyes: I don't feel like defending our parenting style/choices to anyone. A lot of the wives I know are all about their epidural, scheduled C-sections or formula feeding. :eek

We co-sleep, BF on demand, wear our baby and are beginning to CD full time. :thumb

Just wanted to say hello. I MISS CAMP PENDLETON!! Can you tell I am pouting? I miss the Marine Corps family! My husband chose to leave the Corps a couple of years ago. We are now in COLD AND WET Northern Califonia, where he is a firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service. I miss the walk to the beach from my house in San Onofre!

Anyway, GO YOU! I also was not the norm there. We had our 1st daughter while we was aboard Pendleton. We had just moved there from El Toro, and I knew no one. I was so lonely! I breastfed, co-slept, and cloth diapered....I was the neighborhood weirdo. :)

Anyway, I am far away, but still a Marine wife at heart if you need to chat.
