View Full Version : Ugh - Nausea!

I never had morning sickness of any type with my other kids. But this week, I just feel BLAH! I haven't actually thrown up, and it's worse when I haven't eaten in awhile. But I get that feeling that I do not want to eat - but eating is the only thing that helps - it takes everything I have to take a bite of something.

So I feel gross now. BUT - it helps me feel like the hormones are doing their thing - so it's not all bad. :)

Isn't it horrible, I am feeling exactly the same and I remember it from my pregnancy with ds like it was yesterday now! Even thinking about food is making me nauseous. On the upside though it is great to know our hormones are working well :wink

Yes!
I got up this morning to use the potty, feeling fine, then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I thought I would either puke or pass out. Luckily I made it back to the bed and did neither. Ugh.

Morning sickness is just tough. I hate it. I know it's a good sign, but it just sucks.

I have been sick though all my pregs. Preg#2 being the worst. I ended up in the hospital for dehydration because I hadn't kept anything down in 2 days. I was throwing up 7 plus times a day for 20 weeks. This preg is not merely as bad but I'm always afraid that it will become worse. At least I can eat and usually fee alot better after the morning pukie.

This is my last pregnancy so I'm trying to not complain (as least I'm trying) and I'm keeping my eye on the prize: there will be a baby, I'm not sick for nothing.

I was feeling pretty good until a few days ago...now I am so nauseous all of the time! I actually had to run and throw up in the bathroom at the grocery store yesterday. This morning I'm eating crackers and 7up for breakfast...I think the m/s has definitely kicked in! Luckily I only threw up a few times with my dd, and this pregnancy seems to be pretty similar so far.

jenais- I have an Anna Grace too! How cool! :)

Oh man, oh man.... oh man.

Today is the first day I haven't violently projectile vommited in about a week. It rules. Gingerale is a godsend.

Before this.. it was sleeping all day, and throwing up. I didn't want to leave the apartment at all.

I was starting to get worried as I couldn't hold much of anything down and I kept feeling more and more weak, but now I feel better that I've got some prenatals and food held down.

Hey everyone-
this is the thread I need right now. support to remind me someday this will all be worth it.
Gingerale is my godsend too. I am liking Vernor's the best. The past 2 nights I have even thrown up my prenatals. I bought some fresh ginger root and cut it up and made a sort of tea with it in hot water.
Last preg with ds I did not feel this bad. This time it is from the time I get out of bed to when I go back to bed. All Day!! It's a cruel joke that I have to keep up with a 2 yr. old all day. How do you guys with toddlers do it??

Gingerale does nothing for me, so I'll share my faves:

mix lemonade, soda water, and that plain unsweetened cranberry juice (with a splash of Rescue Remedy, if I'm really upset about it) :wink

Trader Joe's as lime popsicles. YEAH BABY!

Cereal, cereal, cereal. That and mashed potatoes.

I really disliked Vernons, Canada Dry for me please.

Pepperment seems to help cut the neusea for me. So, I suck on a lot of pepperment candies. I think I'm on my way out....I've been sick since five days past conception.....yesterday was my first day where I didn't feel sick and I got some energy back....today, a little neusous, but not bad!

I was feeling really awful but started taking extra B-6. from what i have found as long as you dont take more then 100 mg you are ok. so i take one 100 mg w/ my prenatal at night since my prenatal only has 3 mg in it. that has helped a lot. as well as peperment tea. my last pregnancy was twin so i was really sick and i sucked on pepperment candies all the time. this time candy or any refined suger makes me feel sicker, guess thats a good thing! my body is making me eat healthy. i also just eat all day. its hard because i dont feel like eating sometimes but if i keep eating i dont get as nausous as i do when i let my hunger take over.

it wont last forever hang in there. and i am grateful for my other kids. they distract me and keep me moving.

yep - starting to notice underlying pukey feelings....especially when i haven't eaten for a few hours. seems like constant grazing is the way to go.
