moving to northern california

hello! I'm putting it out there to find out about the Garberville area, as we're planning on moving there this spring some time. We is me, my husband and our 3 children--2 twin girls and one boy. If anyone hears of a place to rent or better yet, caretake or housesit, I'd appreciate it very much if you'd let me know! The plan is to go to the Heartwood Institute in August but right now all the details are still swimming around in the ethers. What's it like in that part of the country? Are there groovy people? Do tell.

it is lovely country. we drove through it on our way down from washington state a few years ago.
