I'm a little worried as I've had morning sickness for 2 weeks, since my 5th week pregnant. And now at about 7.5 weeks, for the first day I'm not experiencing morning sickness. I have it every morning like clockwork, and then it usually ends around noon.

I haven't been to the doctor for my initial checkup, and am a little bit paranoid since this is my first baby.

I guess I'm just looking for your experiences. Is it normal to have morning sickness end so soon or be intermittent?

Totally normal to have short term morning sickness or for it to last for months. A lot of woman don't even get morning sickness (something like 40%?). So I definitly wouldn't put any worry on morning sickness going away so soon.

I agree with Hunnybumm. When I was pg with my first, I didn't have any m/s for the first 6 weeks- then got it 3 days, then nothing for 2 weeks, then terrible for 2 days, etc. It went like that for the first trimester or so. This time, I had it regularly for a few weeks, then I thought I was done, then it came back again. Just take care of yourself, and don't worry! The one certainty in pregnancy is that just about everything and nothing is normal!!! :hug

Don't worry, count yourself one of the lucky ones. :) I had very mild morning sickness, and it went away by... week 11 or so? Never threw up, just got queasy. I worried too, but the babe is kicking in there every day! :)
