Hi....for about 3 weeks now I have so much trouble sleeping (and really need it!) It takes me about an hour to fall asleep every night, I just cannot clear my head from thoughts!
Then DD comes in around 2 or 3 am to cosleep and it starts all over again. I lay there for AT LEAST an hour trying to get back to sleep.
Is this normal during pregnancy? It's not a comfort thing, I am only 11 weeks. Is there anything you can take? I doubt it.

I had insomnia early in my pregnancy. I think it maybe partly hormonal, but it certainly is a time to have tons of stuff going through your head!
I had some luck using lavendar in the bedroom to promote rest. You can spray your pillow with hydrosol or use a diffuser, or just put on a high quality essential oil or lotion containing essential oil.
Some of the women in my prenatal class swear by the Traditional Medicinals tea, but I haven't had a chance to look up what's in it and check whether it's all herbs that are safe in pregnancy.
In any case it got better for me in the second trimester.

Well are you thinking about things that need to get done? I used to get like that when I wasn't preggy. You really must tell yourself that there is no use worrying about things when you can't do anything about it (i.e. money issues can usually only be taken care of during business hours..so why worry about it at 10pm at night!) If you have anxiety about specific things, like I used to, make a list and try to sort things out as best you can during the day.
You can try meditation. Basically clear your mind of thoughts and concentrate on nothing but breathing deeply. Everytime a thought pops into your head, push it out with your breaths. This always helps me. There are all kind of different breathing techniques you can try if you want to get more in depth.. Meditation always helps me clear my thoughts and get focused!

I've been using the homeopathic remedy calms forte. I do think it's helping. It doesn't always help me get to sleep faster, but I do feel more rested in the morning.
