Hey ladies! I've never posted here but I've been lurking :blush
Yesterday my little guy had ants in his pants and was sitting/squirming on my lap and jumped up and landed right on my uterus(I'm 14 weeks tomorrow) . I could feel that it took the brunt of the landing and boy did it hurt. Well, it's still sore this morning. Do you think this warrants a call to my Dr? Or should it be all right? I just am quite worried that he could have really damaged the baby or me or maybe my uterus? What should I watch for? Has anyone else had this? How much pressure is bad?
Thanks girls! I'm really concerned and waiting for my Dr's office to open at 9 to call but wanted a little side-help ;)

:hug to you, mama!
I'm sure that's scary! I know that our bodies are really great at protecting those little beans inside of us, so most likely everything is fine (all that amniotic fluid is good protection)... but it can't hurt to call your doc just to make sure, especially if it will easy your mind!
Sending you healing vibes!

Listen to this dumb one. My hubby was pumping up a bike tire with a hand pump, and I was walking by him, stopped behind him for a minute, and he slammed his butt right into my belly! That hurt! It was sore for the day, then it was fine.
I have heard for an accident to hurt your baby, you would be pretty hurt yourself, so I wuldnt worry, but just to calm your fears, let your dr tell you all is well. :) I'd just watch for bleeding.

I have found this is a pretty hard thing to stop. My almost three, 42lb DS loves to climb/cuddle/sit on me. I am now 32 weeks and we have had a couple hard hits in the stomach when he forgets to be careful of his baby brother/sister. However everything is fine.
I would assume at 14 weeks there is enough amniotic fluid in there that the baby was just riding a wave for a while. I also read that you have to be carfeul of impact AFTER the 20th week when the uterus has grown and is less protected.

The only time I've heard of it causing an actual injury (other than in a serious impact like a car accident) is one story I read where the placenta was anterior, and a collision between the mom and her older child caused the placenta to fracture. I know she was much further along than 14 weeks...and I believe she had some bleeding after the accident. Even though the ER doctors told her that it was going to cause her to lose her baby, she put herself on strict bedrest and ended up carrying to full term and giving birth to a healthy baby.
I would say that especially if you aren't having any bleeding or cramping, things are probably fine, but I do see how that can be awfully frightening! I'm sure your provider would be willing to let you come in for a quick listen to the baby's heartbeat with the doppler just to check, if that would make you feel better.
My little ones climb and crawl all over me and bump my belly alot, and my 3 year old whet through a phase recently when he would start kicking me during a diaper change and got me in the belly a few times...nothing hard enough to leave me sore, thankfully, but it sure isn't comfortable!

Thanks girls - you have made me feel much better. :)
I'm not sure I can get in for a quick doppler check as I work full time and my Dr's office is over an hour from my job. But I'm still a bit achy but no cramping or bleeding or fluid coming out so I'm hoping all is okay. I may run to the local medicenter for a check if they do that there this evening just to put my mind at ease. Your stories are really helping. :thumb
