[/B]Boy am I going to be surprised when I have this baby :LOL

I am not sure what is up with this...21 weeks along and I often forget I am pregnant..when people ask when I am due I am like Huh What are you talking about. I even feel like I am showing yet.

Its not that I am in denial..this was planned and we are looking forward to it but it just does not seem real.

With our son..as soon as those two lines popped up I felt an aura so to speak around my stomach area..I was very aware of it and the need to protect it. This time nothing.
Also with our son I was feeling him move around 16/17 weeks this time I only feel on the odd day here and there..placenta is in the front(its our last pregnancy most likely and I don' t even get to feel the most amazing part).

We had the U/S and have heard the heartbeat so I know its there but...

I guess I am also dealing the the disappointment of sort of finding out the sex when I did not want to.
Our first we found out and agreed that the second would be a surprise and yes its not 100% sure but something showed on the U/S to do with the kidneys is more commen with one sex over the other so it sort of gave it away(wish I could find out the STATS for sure)

I haven't bought a thing for this new baby not that I need to as we have almost everything we need except for a few extras this time like a breastpump and some infant prefolds and covers but those will have to wait until we have the cash so I can't even nest properly.

Yes I am busy with a 17 month old and life in general but still too busy to notice that I am pregnant. What is up with that?

I think that happens a lot with second time (and more!) moms. When you have the first, you totally notice it and focus on it, and spend time thinking about it, but when you have the second, there's already someone demanding so much of your attention. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's just how it is.

Of course, this is my first, I"m nearly 20 weeks, and I"ve hardly noticed anything either. I was rather protective of my belly area in the first few weeks, but now, it's something I hardly notice on a regular basis. I mean, I still think about being pregnant, think about the birth, but I don't *feel* much different than I did before. I wish I felt more attached to my baby. But this baby is very much wanted and loved, and as time goes by, I'm sure that will come. And it will for you too. :)

I often forget I'm pregnant, especially when dd's are keeping me busy! Then I feel a kick and it's like, "Oh yeah!"

I don't think about the baby and the pregnancy and the birth as much as I did with DD but I feel physically very pregnant, moreso than last time, really.

I do think it's common for second, third, etc. to get less attention than the first... probably forever :(

I know very much what you mean. I've experienced that first pregnancy feeling twice. Once for my first, then I had 2 and 3, very much like you say, hardly notice you're pregnant. Then 9 years passed and I had another with my second hubby, and it was again a lot like my first. Now I'm preggers with #5, 2nd with current hubby, and neither one of us hardly remembers I'm pregnant.
