Hi you guys!
I had my ultrasound yesterday and got to see my beautiful baby girl, Sophia Rose! I am so happy. This is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. She looks so pretty and is apparently healthy as far as the ultrasound can tell. We are thrilled!

So, the other news is that they also found a rather large cyst on my ovary. They want me to come back in a month for another ultrasound to make sure it hasn't grown. It could be completely benign, the result of pregnancy hormones, and will disapear after birth. It could be endometriosis which I suspected because it took me a long time to get pregnant. There is a tiny possibility it could be cancer but unlikely because I am young. Hopefully it will not grow and I will not need surgery. I really really hope not. Any one else have this experience? I am focusing on my happiness now about my Sophie and trying not to worry but if anyone has any information I would love to hear it. Thanks, love pauline

Congrats! I can't believe that you already have a name picked out! You are way ahead of me!! This is your first baby too, right?
Sorry to hear about your problem. I haven't had my ultrasound yet, so I don't know what's lurking in there. Just stay on top of it-I read about a woman who did have to have her cyst removed while pregnant, but everything turned out fine. I hope yours is the kind that can wait/go away on its own.

Congrats!! Wow, with all these girls popping up I'm getting a little anxious about the law of averages (I'm hoping for another girl, too!) :LOL

Congratulations! That's so exciting. Poor boys, their clothes and toys are so boring (IMO) but girly stuff is fun! :D

I've had ovarian cysts for years. I don't know much about the different kinds of cysts, but I have the kind where they don't need operating or anything, they just tend to hurt a lot around ovulation. Occasionally when I was younger they would "burst" which is painful but not dangerous. I took the pill for several years for that reason, b/c on the pill I guess you don't ovulate and so the pain didn't come on. It's been better since DD was born (I won't take the pill anymore).

I hope the follow-up shows they've decreased in size or are gone. Best of luck with that, and again, congrats and I love the name you chose!
