My dear SIL just experienced another mc. I am so sad for her. She lost the first pregnancy earlier this year at 6-7 weeks. This pregnancy was also at about 6 weeks.
At her request, we are keeping it between the two of us and her DH. She experienced a total lack of empathy from other family members when she suffered the first mc, so she thought she'd keep this one private. :(
I'm really glad that she confides in me; we are more like sisters than sisters-in-law. I really wish there were some answers as to why she has experienced these two mc. She has two healthy children, so the problem isn't that she can't get pregnant. Most of the pain for her lies in the unanswered question of why.
My DH and I have decided to hold off on ttc until she has a baby. We discussed this at length after her first mc and decided that it was the right thing to do. I simply cannot look forward to a possible pregnancy when she is in so much pain. We are that close.
I would appreciate any advice any of you would like to share.
