Happy with your appearance? Not just weight, b.c that is much harder for some of us to control. But, your style? Do you have style or did you use to and now just wear the slobby mommy outfit?
Just wondering where others are with this.
I haven't felt like myself since I first got pregnant with dd as far as clothes, hair, weight, etc.
And you know, come to think of it, I am the same way about my house! I had a lot more personal style going into my home, now it is baby proofed, somewhat clean and comfortable, but, blah as can be.
Of course dd gets all the best clothes and her room is cute.

I remember style fondly.

Never a trendy dresser because I'm hard to fit (tall, short waisted, long armed, large busted.....) I always did have a relatively good sense of what was fashionable in terms of cuts and colours and wore what I could of it but tended to wear the simplest versions of each....

Now my on my third pg in five years, well, lets just say my clothes are NOT stylish any more.
Right now functional, presentable and unstained are about the height of my fashion endeavours.... I aspire to do better but really.... I'd rather spend money on other things than my clothes right now.... Did pick up a couple cute maternity tops this summer ( I buy trendy mat clothes becuase they make me feel cute)
Otherwise, I'm currently growing out my hair from a very short sort of punkish hair cut to a more manageable when the baby comes hair cut so I'm not thrilled with my hair... My skin is good, my nails are good, but really, I'm pretty ambivalent about my appearance right now

ROTGL!!!

Ain't that the truth. I still have a lot of cute "single working girl" clothes in my closet, which I never wear but still have hopes of needing for some unlikely hip night out. Yeah, right.

I've worn the same maternity prairie skirt two days in a row now. With a tank top. Wooo hooo!

Tar-zay! (aka Target)

Cheap, too! Super comfy with a roll waist band.

They have it in black, brown, & red.

If yoga pants are stylish, then I am the height of style. 'Cause that's about all I wear! :LOL

I pretty much have felt like crap since DS was born, and looked that way. It was hard when I was teaching for a semester b/c I was just uncomfortable in all my clothes, since none of my good pre-pg work clothes fit anymore :(

My hair is currently falling out in huge clumps and I want to get it cut short but haven't had a chance. I got my eyebrows done once last summer...

We haven't had a chance to do anything to the house since we bought it when I was pregnant with DS. It's sad since it's our first house and it could be so cute, but I have a hard enough time even cleaning it. Normally it's just messy but since I've been so sick it's now bordering on slovenly. I don't even want to puke in my bathroom, it's so filthy :blush

That's my whine for the day :blah

Ok, thanks beanbean but I do not wear anything that shows my legs. I have tree stumps for legs and I don't expose them b/c I definitely do not feel cute. I would love that if it were a little longer.

LOL Sleepymama about not wanting to puke in your own bathroom because it's dirty!! When I was still puking, I remember holding back my hair holding back the puke until I'd taken toilet paper around the rim 'cause it was just too gross!! (And I'm normally a VERY neat/clean person!)

I'd say that my style normally is very Land's End/LL Bean. So, not exactly the height of fashion, but very classic and comfortable. But, since getting pregnant, I've been wearing my maternity clothes from the last three pregnancies. These are decidedly NOT the height of fashion!! Maternity styles have changed so much since I gave birth last and I feel really sloppy most days. Yuck. I don't want to buy more because I'm thinking this will be my last child given how much trouble we had getting pregnant this time!! I do have a very "with it" friend who is lending me a bunch of maternity clothes for the fall. I bet they'll be nice!!

Sleepymama - I did just go out and get my hair cut last week. What a difference it makes in how I feel about myself!! It's a cute, easy to manage bob that'll be perfect after the baby is born too. I highly recommend it!!

Oh - and next weekend I'm getting together with a bunch of friends of mine from high school. We're going to a spa. I decided rather than get a massage (which I do regularly anyway) I'd get a makeup lesson. I've always wanted to have someone show me which colors are best and how to apply them. Now I get to! I'm also having a manicure which I'd love to do more often, but don't have the time. I love feeling put together like that!

Wow! This got long! Sorry

:LOL
About manicures...I get my mani/pedi semi regularly from this wonderful woman who is the best...LOVE her. So, I will spend my time and money for that but then walk around unshowered and completely slovenly looking for days.
I want to be one of those "together" chicks. ;)
