Anyone want to join me?? After reading through the thread entitled "Are you?" I realized that I really want to appear put together. I'm tired of looking frumpy. So, I went and looked at their sale maternity stuff. Fortunately (or unfortunately!), they had a ton of stuff in my size!! They'll even hem/cuff the maternity pants which I desperately need as I'm 5'10" and can't ever find pants long enough to fit!!

Just thought I'd share!

Good for you! We deserve to have nice clothes that fit properly, too!

Now I am going to check out that website. I know I have seen a few things for the kiddo that I like, but, I haven't really looked for me.

You know...some of us are going to need winter coats. The thought of having to buy a maternity winter coat is scary. It will be huge and cost $$$.

Hee hee - thanks. So, what'd you order?? LOL

I never ended up buying a new coat during any of my pregnancies. I guess I wear my coats big and they've always worked for me. But my babies were born in May, November and August, so this one may be different!! Land's End did have a nice pea coat, but it was still too much for this cheap mama!!

if you need a winter coat there are a few babywearing coats available that are also good during pregnancy. I bought the felix pera from germany since our winters are very very cold here on the prairies. It's super warm and comfy, Ds likes it too. That's actually us modeling it (when ds was 15 months old) on the peppermint page. http://store.peppermint.com/felix-pera-coat.html
I hope it's okay to post the link here. there are sooooo many rules in this place LOL

Land's End does have some great overstock deals sometimes - I've gotten the kids some clothes from there for CHEAP before, and they are great quality. I did get myself a couple pairs of the maternity pajama pants this summer, too.

I have been wondering about the coat issue - we don't live in a super cold place, but it does get down to freezing here in East Tennessee. I guess I should try on my regular coat and see how much extra room there is... If it isn't going to work, I'll look on ebay. I've been getting lots of great maternity deals there since I found out about this new baby (I had gotten rid of all of my maternity clothes already).

Jennifer, I didn't order anything, that stuf really isn't my style. I will probably buy mostly everything from the Gap and Old Navy, as I do get the discount. But, I am waiting to buy anymore for now. I wear the same pants everyday, I hate my maternity jeans, they don't fit right.

I do like the quality of Lands End clothes, they do hold up better than some other brands. I too like some of you other mamas am trying to figure out about a nice warm/yet a little hip jacketfor this upcoming fall/winter. I have no clue how to dress, if they only had a "What not to wear pregnancy", where you get style advice, plus all them free clothes, oh what a life!

I lean towards simple clothing like GAP, some things from Old Navy are nice. I am just not into super trendy, or anything with glitter, or appliques, but that's me. I believe I will be bigger then I was with my last Ryan in Jan-2004, as I am already this big at 16 weeks, Yikes! I just posted another update pic when you click on my pictures. Just so weird seeing one extreme to another, some of you are ALOt smaller then me, and some of you are the same, or bigger.

Well I am also on the hunt for maternity wear, a coat. But funds are not alot right now so we'll see what we come up with.

Well...I tried on my winter jacket yesterday. I can barely get it buttoned right now! Which means there's no way it will work for me in November, December and January (unless I just wear it open all the time and leave my belly sticking out! :LOL )

I found one on ebay that I like fairly well and put a bid on it. There are actually a lot of maternity coats listed if anyone is interested in looking! I also bought a couple pair of maternity jeans this week (also ebay) - got two pair for $4.99 (plus shipping)! I think I might be set for cool weather maternity clothes now between what I've bought and what a couple of friends have loaned me.

brownay2 - I would LOVE for someone to come and give me a style makeover ala What Not to Wear, but I wouldn't want it broadcast on national TV! I definitely don't have much of a "style"...

I went to Savers on Labor day, since they had 50% off (also known ad Value Village) and got a winter coat for $6. :)

I'd suggest checking out thrift stores/Goodwill for a coat. :)
