my hair has been falling out for almost a year now....not so that other people notice, but definitly enough so i notice, and my hairdresser has said it is thinning....my scalp looks fine...but my ponytail seems to get tinier everyday!!! i had my thyroid checked and it is normal - i was hoping that pregnancy would make it stop falling out - but no luck here......anyone else not have beautiful full hair????? any ideas to make it stop falling out????? tia!!

I don't know how to stop it... Although my hair itself is not particularly thick, I have so much of it that it falls out by the ton and never seems to get thin. During my first pg it stopped falling out completely. My second pg and this one it hasn't changed from the usual amount of falling out (I ALWAYS have hair all over my bathroom floor, no matter how often I vacuum it :irked: ).

I am glad to see this topic b.c I am the same as Dana. All my hair stayed in last preg. and my hair was thick and ridiculous. So far this preg it is falling out like normal. it doesn't bother me b.c I don't like my hair any thicker then this, but, I was worried.

Mine is still falling out too. It was so lucsious with my last two pregnancies. Now, it's just mousey and flat and stringy. It was already thin to begin with. It's not to obvious, just annoying to me really.

mine has been falling out since ds was 2 months old. he will be 2 years old in a few weeks. i was also obsessing over how tiny my ponytail was getting so i went and got my hair cut short enough that if I can put it in a ponytail, but it looks better if I don't. the lady who did my hair cut it really well so it looks like i have twice as much as I did before.
so, i suggest a short haircut... i feel a lot better about my hair now :)

I cut my hair (relatively) short at about 3 months pg, so I don't know if it's looking better these days. It's definitely less oily than usual (so is my skin), but I think it's still falling out at the normal rate.

Mine used to fall out alot or so I thought until I became pregnant. Now I swear i'm going to be bald by the time baby gets here! You can't notice it, but I can tell my hair is much thinner than it used to be. My mom had the same thing happen when she got pregnant with her first. She used to have thick hair, then with each pregnancy(3) she just kept losing more hair. Now she has really thin hair. :( I'm not looking forward to that. I don't know what to do to make it stop. I always have hair all over the bathroom and bathtub. It's so gross.

I didn't get the lovely pregnancy hair either. Also, my acne has flared up and remained that way. I really had visions of being this lovely glowing pregnant woman and it just didn't turn out that way at all. At least now I'm starting to look pregnant instead of just pudgy. I shouldn't complain, I'm truly blessed to be pregnant at all :) I'll happily take the bad skin and hair for the rest of the year...

I too had beautiful long thick hair. It seems Im loosing more than I actually have only the only way I can tell is my pony tail is alot thinner. My hair, back and face are all extremly oily. I've never had a acne problem, I do now and nothing I mean nothing will make it go away!!!!
I hate washing my hair as I end up with hair everywhere except on my head, and these sore pimples, both blind and blackheads and on my back too! Its grose!!!!!! :angry
ANYONE HAVE A REMEDY?
Ive used clearasil, garnier pure, neutrogena and way too much money for 1/2 empty bottles of crap that don't work. Im at that stage in pregnancy where everything makes me cry, even my hair not sitting in a pony right.
Please help us Ladies.
