I found someone here in Vegas who teaches HB. I am actually very excited about trying this - has anyone else done it?

I haven't either, but I'm planning on doing it too. I can't wait cause it sounds awesome and the people who I've talked to who did it say that it does work. A friend has the homestudy kit and said I could borrow it after her birth next month. I'm so psyched to get started on it!

I haven't but a women in my yoga class did and taught me a bit. I was able to get into that space during labor and it was amazing. People thought my contractions stopped when really I went from 5 cm to 10 cm in 25 minutes. I am going to take the course during this pregnancy if it isn't too costly and complicated to fit into my life.

I did it with my first. We had an instructor who came to our house once a week for a few hours. There were guided relaxation sessions, and a bunch of exercises we were supposed to do during the week.

I was crappy at practicing, but very good at getting myself into a relaxed state. One of my problems was that there were tapes to listen to that bugged the crap out of me. The music made me insane. Our instructor stressed that whatever works for us is cool.

It worked quite well for my first few days of contractions, but once I was induced, it all went out the window. I'm sure that this time I'll be able to relax much better at home and without the threat of a c-section!

I think I still have the book and the awful tapes (hey- i'm sure it works for some people) if anyone is interested, but I think having a professional work with you is really essential.
