I have not been sleeping well at all. My husband kept losing his pillow on the floor the other night and I would get up and put it back under his head for him. After three times he woke up a little and said,"why are you doing this? why are you awake?" I said... I don't know. I stayed up until 6 am and typed out all of the things I was thinking about (that usually helps) on the computer. I finally went to sleep and woke up at 7:30 and didn't really feel tired that day. People at work said I looked bad though. I am a manager at a restaurant and from time to time I have to have "motivational" talks with employees that have exhibited "opportunity for improvement". Normally I just pull them in the office and discuss with them how they can be better at whatever. I have been dreading these confrontations and really my performance has been compromised by this. I mean, it is my job (not to mention my family's restaurant). Agggg.

I'm sleeping ok this time so far. With dd I didn't sleep at all. I was up all night cleaning the house. This time apparently even though I'm sleeping, I'm tossing and turning and stealing dh's covers. needless to say, he'd rather have the pregnant wife that cleans the house all night! I prefer sleeping myself!

My problem is after I get up to pee...usually around 4am I think (we go to bed about 1) I am wide awake! I usually come back to bed and just lie there and feel the baby moving around and watch the sun rise. And I'm not really tired the next day either. Strange.

I can also understand the not wanting to deal with confrontation too. I am totally focussed inward and so fixated on myself and the baby right now. I've been avoiding all kinds of confrontation, so much that I haven't talked to my sister (self-appointed mainstream parenting guru) in months.
