I want to wear a tampon!!! :blush I remember it with first child, dd, but dont remember it starting this early, eek, I have 3 months to go!! Sometimes I change my under 3 times a day, and the dampness is uncomfortable, sometimes especially at night. If it was just the last month i could handle it, but I'm gonna be really annoyed if it lasts for the whole last tri.
I remember one of my herbal books had a recipe for a douche rinse for leukorrhea, but I have never douched before, and never heard good things about douching either.
Any mamas want to comiserate, or share their advice?

I can offer commiseration, no advice.

With DD, it started at about 12 weeks, this time it started at 8 weeks or so. I sucks big time.

Ooo you used a big word and I didn't know what it meant. :LOL According to the search I just did on "leukorrhea" it's "a thick and whitish colored vaginal discharge."

I don't think I'm having that, exactly, but I do have LOTS of thin, clear, watery fluid that makes my undies soggy halfway through the day. :eyesroll

I found this about douching for leukorrhea, "Doctors recommend not douching during pregnancy due to the possibility of an air embolism. The pressure of the douche entering the vagina may cause an air embolism. You may wear sanitary napkins (pads) to absorb any of the discharge during pregnancy."

Hope that's helpful.

I too had leukorrhea, but mostly during the first trimester. i remember thinking that I was miscarrying everytime I stood up, because I would feel a "warm gush." It isn't as bad now (or else I have gotten used to it). I will wear pads if it get bad, though.

Have you tried going without undies? I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but I hate undies! I only wear them when absolutely necessary. I've totally noticed that my undies are wet from luk when I wear them. But when I go without, for some reason I air dry a lot! No wet stains on my pants, etc., nothing!

hmm, girrllie, glad that works for you. i had the opposite effect with no undies... at least with them on, it keeps the wet in place (rather than ALL OVER my pants). loobop, have you tried flannel or fleece pads or rags? more absorbent than cotton so at least it doesn't feel so wet against your skin...

Thats a great idea---I should sew some (then just chuck 'em in the wash with the dipes). I can see how air drying helps--but I think it depends on how much you are actually leaking, yk? I remember the stuff trickling down my inner thigh sometimes with my last pregnancy. Isnt it strange how some of us experience it in our first trimester, others in our last!
