moving to austria

Hi,
I know this is the germany thread, but since there isn't an austria one....
DH, dd, currenly unborn baby, and I will be moving to Austria in January for a short term work assignment. Any advice? Anything in particular I might want to know, other than German? DH and I still need to learn basics, so if you know any good language learning sites or materials, please share.

If you have ever lived or visited Graz, Austria, I'd appreciate any thoughts you can share. DH has been a couple times for work, but I have not, and would like to hear a discription of the city from a mom's perspective!

I have personally never been in Graz. But, one of my closest friends is married to a Graz native (they currently live in Germany) and she said it is a very conservative part of Austria (but the landscape is beautiful).

My suggestion would be to try to find other ex-pats living there (there must be a few others). You could try posting on the following yahoo group:

AP-expat-mums

They might have some members living in Austria who could give you some tips.
