I don't know why, but, I seem to wake up in the middle of the night each night and stay awake for hours. It sucks! I think it's when I get up to pee then I'll get rebound insomnia.
And I just toss and turn. I could really use those extra few hours.

I don't wake up every night, but I do wake on occasion, and like you, just lie there.

Mainly, I'm just not sleeping deeply, and I'm having weird dreams all night long. What I'd give for just one solid night's sleep!

I'm awake every night for at least 2 hours :(

I toss and turn all night. It is also getting harder to breathe in any position. Part of the problem is that me and my partner need a new bed so bad. Our mattress sinks into a valley in the middle so one of us sleeps in the bed and one of us sleeps on the couch and neither is comfortable. Also I had such a bad dream last night that I was bleeding (from my vagina) and knew I was having a miscarriage and I couldn't find the doctor's phone number and nobody helped me. I woke up sobbing and it was one of those dreams that were so so real! But eventually I do fall asleep and I think part of the problem is I sometimes eat ice cream before bed!

I've been up for hours every morning. I need that last little bit of sleep so I can function. I wish I was awake in the middle of the night and then fell back to sleep.

Is anyone having hip soreness? I had it last time, too.

I've had nights like that, when I just wake up and can't get back to sleep - it's terrible! It hasn't been happening lately, thankfully. I do wake up a lot (at least every 2 hrs usually) but I can get back to sleep pretty quickly. I can't seem to change position in my sleep so I wake up when I need to turn over!

Yep, I'm sleeping horribly. I initially fall asleep fine, but then I wake up, and I'm up for ages, then I finally fall back asleep, and then the cycle starts again. :eyesroll I was unprepared for this insomnia, when I was pg w/dd I slept better than I ever had, until the third trimester when I had to pee every 1/2 hr. With this pg, I've had it pretty much since the beginning.

Gosh, I wish that insominia was my only night issue. Every night I have been having these terrible, horrific nightmares. I can't even write much about what they have been about. War, fighting, famine, heavy things like that. It is so scary...I can't even begin to tell you.

I actually looked up therapists on my health insurance's website, thinking that I have to get some help with this, but ended up frustrated. It's not like picking a dentist, you know?

Anyone else having THIS problem?

Except for getting up to pee 3 times, I'm sleeping fine.

Due to various reasons including DD's waking up at 6:15am every day, I've gotten into this yucky pattern where I sleep about 6 hours at night (getting up to pee 2-3 times) and then have to take a 1-2 hour nap every afternoon. So then after the nap I can't go to sleep early enough to make 6:15 a feasible wakeup time, and the cycle repeats.

Oh, and before bed I pee, then I lay down and try to sleep, but have to pee at least once more, usually twice. My bladder is really obstructed by baby parts or something, I guess, since whenever I change positions I find it wasn't empty after all! Ahh, the joys of pregnancy, LOL.

I've also had a couple of nightmares lately, but they're not too frequent, thankfully.

Luckily I have no trouble sleeping. I think I would if I had to be on a schedule of some sort, but at the moment, i'm not working, so usually I go to sleep around 2am-3am and get up around noon. Granted i'm up a couple times during the night to use the bathroom, but I have no trouble going back to sleep. Heck, sometimes I swear i'm still sleeping when I get up to use the bathroom. :)

Once or twice a week I can't get back to sleep when I wake up to pee. Just seem to be thinking about stuff...

And I have been having increasingly bad sciatica, last night the pain woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep. :( I don't know what I'm going to do if this keeps up.

Weird and scary dreams are pretty normal for pregnancy.

I had really bad insomnia with my last pregnancy. I found that by not turning on the bathroom light when I got up to pee, it was a lot easier to get back to sleep afterward. Still, I spent most of my pregnancy pretty sleep-deprived. The good thing was that the insomnia (along with the awful ligament pains) disappeared immediately after dd was born.

Is anyone having hip soreness? I had it last time, too.

My last pregnancy I had horribly sore hips. But I've been sleeping on a very thick feather bed on top of my mattress and it's been so much better. I think any nice mattress topper will help take the pressure off the hip joints. Like those new fangled foam ones...
