pointless trip to the doc

I whacked my elbow really hard when I was putting dd down for her nap today. Yelled and scared her, but I thought it was okay. But after she went to sleep it kept hurting...all the way down into my hand. My dh and mom thought I should go get it looked at, so when dd woke up we went to an after hours clinic to have it looked at.

The doc was really nice. He basically says that there's nothing but skin covering the bone where I hit it and that a nerve lies right there, which was why it was hurting and shooting pains down my arm. He was extremely gentle and it didn't even hurt much when he touched it (when my dh touched it I went white it hurt so bad). No broken bones, no dislocations, no xrays.

I feel kinda dumb for going at all. :shy And I've gained 7 lbs over the last 4 weeks. :irked:

I hate it when things like that happen. You feel so silly afterwards. Well, at least the Dr was nice and did not act like you were an idiot for coming in.

That's totally something I would do. I'm always banging myself into things, even before I was pregnant. At least I have something to blame it on now! :LOL Glad to hear you didn't do yourself any serious harm!

I know that pain that you are describing!
Don'r beat yourself up over the visit to the Dr., at least they set your mind at ease, & also, now you will know for the future if it happens again.
