Konked out

Anyone else just konk out? I laid down for what was going to be JUST A QUICK REST...not even planning on sleeping, just wanted to get off my feet. The kids were playing in Mikayla's room, I laid my head down and next thing I know, it's dark, and it's quiet. OH MY GOD...what time is it? Where are the kids? I groggily bolt out of bed and realize what I've done. I've fallen asleep for a couple of hours. I ran around the house looking for the kids...they luckily were just in the basement with my dad. He lives down there. I really panicked though....

Anyone else know to just completely konk out?

yup, i've been doing that in little spurts almost every morning! i usually doze off for about 10 minutes at around 8:30 or 9am. one morning i woke up to the sound of someone knocking on a door. i woke up and found that Rowan was upstairs in the kitchen having closed the door and was on the other side knocking for me to open it up so he could come back down. LOL OOPS!!

A couple of times now I've fallen asleep while in the process of getting OUT of bed in the morning. DD hates it when I do this, she feels ignored. The other morning when I did it, she peed on me. :irked:

I got home from running errands the other day and was SO tired. I laid down on the couch- just to rest for a few- and woke up 2 hours later. Usually if I rest in the afternoon its kind of a light nap, but this time I was OUT COLD!!! It felt great but I felt out of it when I woke up. I thought I was just lazy! :)

Oh this made me laugh SO HARD! This hasn't happened to me yet, but I better watch out. I've come so close to falling asleep while getting out of bed. And DS is unfortunately getting into this whole pee-on-the-floor-while-mama's -not-paying-attention-even-though-i-am-perfectly-potty-peeing-when-i'm-with-anyone-else thing. ARGHH!!!

LOL! I'm so totally with you girls.

My 2-y-o DD has a tough time getting to sleep at naptime by herself, so I usually sit in her room and journal until she's out. Just this past week, I have no idea how it happened, I woke up 2hrs later in her bed, to find that she and her big brother were down in the basement playing by themselves.

I don't think either of them got naps that day. I sure did, though. OOPS!

Yep, I'm right there with you all. I don't konk out at work, but frequently konk out on the couch in the evening or during the day on weekends. I just frequently feel like I have lay down *now*. I'm so much more tired this pg than I was with DS - I think it's having DS to take care of in addition to being pg...
