Ok i have a silly question about the bloody show. I never had it with my dd but lost a nickel sized amount last night, tinged pink and red. Then at about 5:30 am this morning i started have consistant waves and spotting (real red not brown). But now nothing is going on. Is bloody show always a sign of impending labor or can that be like the mucous plug and regrow? (you'd think i'd know this stuff the 2nd time around)

Also has anyone else gotten sick from the raspberry leaf tea? I have noticed that every time i drink it i get incredibly bad heartburn and then super sick and it takes everything out of me to NOT throw up. Needless to say i havent had any in 3 days, but has anyone else had a bad reaction to the stuff? Sigh, i had been hoping to use it as i went into labor. Thanks all!

Hi!

I didn't have bloody show (that I noticed) until my 3rd pregnancy. It was bright red with some mucous, and it was about 12-14 hrs before I delivered. I would think you're pretty close (if you haven't delivered already!). :)

I have heartburn all the time, but the RRL tea doesn't bother me at all.

Out of my previous three births only the last one had any show ahead of time. It happened sometime in the early afternoon and baby was born at 1:17 a.m. that night. However, that was the only birth that I used castor oil due to PROM. Don't know if that changed anything or not.

Never tried the tea so no help there. I was thinking of trying it for labour but now you have me nervous!

Wellll....it was with my first two. I had bloody show that got bloodier as the day went on. They were born that night. This time however, I've had bloody show TWICE this week and I'm STILL PREGNANT! :irked: :LOL

Thanks for the info. Im assuming it isnt a sign as im still preggers lol! Oh well, im in no rush. Had just been wondering what was up with my body hee hee. Thanks again

Glad you asked. I had bloody show with my ds I think since my water had broken etc... This time I have been having contrax like crazy at night with rectal pressure etc but no bloody show.......so I have never called teh midwife about it. The contrax tend to taper of around 3 am too though. UGh! I just want to have this baby already and these contrax had better be doing something.......................

I had some bloody show three times in the last two and a half weeks of my pregnancy with Devon. The first time, I was so excited, and thought it meant labor was going to come soon. I guess "soon" was relative. It wasn't within a couple days, but then, it wasn't a month in advance, either.

Every pregnancy is different. Even within the same person, so we'll just have to wait and see what it means for you!
