obviously not a class...but reading some stuff? i'm looking on amazon right now and they have the mangon hypnobirthing book but all of the reviews say that it's sort of incomplete bc it's supposed to go along with the class and cd's. and i don't see the cd's sold anywhere...maybe i'm not looking hard enough
what should i do? what will give me the most bang for my buck? now that i'm 9 weeks away from my due date. HAHAHAHA!!

I think you could TOTALLY still benefit. I would try to find a practitioner near to you and see if they have cd's that you could get right away and maybe even schedule a session if you have the $$$. My doula does both- hypnobirthing(Mongan) and hypnobabies- but said she prefers the hypnobabies. Thats mostly what we've been doing this time.

NOT too late at all, Michele!
I prefer the more CD programs, too. I do Imagery Birthing. www.imagerybirthing.com HypnoBirthing program comes with one hypno CD (Rainbow Relaxation) and one affirmations CD. The key to ANY hypno program is doing the hypno daily. You can even put it on just after getting to bed and sleep through the whole thing. HypnoBirthing works. Other programs do, too. They all are using the same hypnosis to relieve pain in childbirth that was created back in the '40's, just each one has a different feel (voice, music, word choice, etc).
I'll go look in the TP for you. Otherwise, here are the direct links...

Personally, I'd try to pick up a used program. The tapes/CD are the most important.

I have been doing Hypbirth and it suggests to start about 32 weeks but says that you can easily start later. I can send you a copy of the whole program if you want. PM me if you are interested.
