I'm due today. LOL Why didn't anyone tell my son?

My son is learning the calendar at school, and the first thing he demanded of my dh when he woke up was to turn the calendar. Then he wrote on his chalkboard, "Come out baby." Of course, then he also wrote about Halloween. He's been asking me all day what day the baby is going to come out. I wish I knew, LOL!
This being the weekend, and my dh's work schedule runs through every weekend (he makes most of his money on the weekends, from his commission) I'm antsy. I'm restless, uncomfortable, and now hoping that this baby doesn't follow the same pattern of being late that my first followed.
Patience just isn't there, today!
Here's to everyone having a smooth and uneventful birth this month!

I have 19 days left! Although I'm sure she will be late, but once I get past my due date, I will try some natural induction stuff (spicy foods, walking, sex, etc)

WOO HOO! I am sooo excited. Back in March with all the morning sickness stuff this month seemed like it would take FOREVER to get here, but it actually went by pretty quickly!!
Looking forward to more baby announcements & birth stories.
I'm keeping busy by knitting for the baby :) Keeps me focused yet distracted, and it's fun. I do have a little housework to get done today though, and we might take the boys to the musuem for a little bit.

That is so true! Back in march this month seemed oceans away, now it is here. I feel like one of those robins I was watching so much in the spring. All puffed up feathers, zipping around collecting twigs for my nest.

Gosh, the time has gone by so quick! It seems like it was just yesterday I found out. But at the same time it seems like it's been forever!

What a great way to put it!
I am gently nesting too...no hurried frenzy but just bit by bit...I have everything here now...just need to gather it in one place. I can't believe I am down to my last to do list!

Yay! 7 days left until my due date! Wa-hoooooo!
I can't wait to meet my little girl!
Yet at the same time, I've been really reminiscing on what it's been like to be pregnant. You know, all those magical moments that only we can experience. When we found out and no one else knew it yet, when we first started to feel the little "flutteries", when we felt our babies' first movements, when we felt them squirming and doing the little dances, when we saw them on the u/s screen for the first time, and heard their precious little heartbeats for the first time.......
I will never ever ever forget this, this has been both the most frustrating (because of the waiting and the heaviness, the lack of sleep, etc, etc, etc :LOL ) and the most wonderful time of my life. It's like a little secret that I've kept locked inside of me for nine months, that no one else could really know but me. The bond that I'm sharing with my little daughter is incredible, and I really just can't wait to meet her! :love

Oh, gosh, I so vividly remember that feeling with my first baby. I was ready to meet her, but also so nostalgic about the pregnancy ending and about losing that special time. This time-- NO. Wait until you see! Having your baby in your arms kicks the crap out of having her in your belly. It's wonderful. You won't miss your pregnancy. :)

:LOL :LOL :LOL
I absolutely love to hear that! That sounds exactly like something I would say - in a few years to someone else. :) Awesome! I really can't wait to meet her, I'm so excited! :heartbeat
But yes, I'm totally delving into the nostalgia of being a first time mommy. There will never be anything else like this. :D
I would have bet MONEY on the fact that I would give birth in late September, in the early to mid twenties.
I am shocked (shocked, I say!) that I am still pregnant and it is October 1st!!

I had a feeling this little guy would stay put until October, and he is! So, I will be officially be an October mom. That's fine with me...now the lottery is between all the birthdays of family right now...my stepdad, aunt, friend, neighbor, they're all this week! I told them they should have a pool or something. :LOL
Oh and the spicy food, walking, eggplant, pineapple, evening primrose oil, sex....tried it, this time and last. Kiddo's still inside, and a week past EDD. So, have fun, but I really think kids come when they feel like it. :)

This pregnancy seemed to just fly. Maybe its the fact that dd is a toddler and never lets me sit still. I am very torn between being anxious to have jellybean in my arms and take advantage of every last moment of being a family of 3. As ill never get these days back of dd being 23 months old. But since jellybean will be making that decision and im not officially due til the 24th, im sure i have at least another 3 weeks at the least to store up all the love and memories!
