With ds my labor started with losing my plug and then was induced and ended up being induced by dumb obgyn and got epoidural (with nerve damage in my leg from it) 3rd degree tear etc. My water was also broken early on and bloody show started from there. Anyway, I am doing things much differently this time with a midwife and birthing center.

Anyway the past 2 days I have gotten a bit quesy at night and feel rectal pressure (sitting on the toilet helps) But I do not poop. I have regular crampy contrax every 5-7 minutes for about an hr then they go to 10 minutes then fizzle out for the night around 2am. I get contrax off and on during the day, but not regular at all.

The nighttime contrax are much stronger then the BH I had weeks ago and last longer like 30-45 seconds compared to the 5-10 second ones before.

I need to nap atleast twice a day now and am always tired. I am not anemic and have a great iron level.

Does this mean the baby is coming soon?

I hope so because I have been having the same things happen. I get the queasiness and pressure down there and really regular contractions at night. For the past couple of days I have been getting contractions during the day every 10-15 minutes. Sometimes they are really uncomfortable and sometimes I barely even notice them. No bloody show yet though and at my appt last week I was only 1 cm dilated and cervix was still long and thick. I might have DH check me tonight to see if these contractions are actually doing anything.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that this actually means something and isn't just our bodies teasing us hehe.

At my last appt I was 1-2 cm and 60% effaced I havent been checked in over 10 days though.

When are you due?

Glad to hear someone else is experiencing this, even though it isnt pleasent.

I never had any nausea with ds in labor or pregnancy so I wasn't sure if it was all worth a call to the midwife or not.

I'm due October 20th, so I still have a little over 2 weeks to go. This is #6 for me though, but all of my others have been either right on time or late so I really don't expect to go early, but anything can happen, right? I haven't had nausea with any of my others but I've read that it's a sign.

Yep that was last night and the night before for me.

It also happened for me about a week before baby came last time.

I am so tired...last night was awful.

Yes, yes, yes. Some variation of all of that is happening to me, too. I'm hoping that it means that the baby is coming soon and that the second labor is going to be considerably more effective than the first.

I don't know, but the same things have been happening to me too off and on for a week now.

All you can say is - maybe. Unfortunately, it could be hours, days or weeks - you'll only know in retrospect.

I asked my midwife about the nausea and contrax today. She said it is kind of common and is a precursor for contractions starting either for good labor or BH. So............ Atleast I know its normal, I guess.

same here. Usually contractions and nausea dont happen on the same night for me, and the pressure is getting way worse. I cant stand for 5 minutes to cook or do dishes without having to go pee!

Hi mandalaia!!!! Nice to have you here!!!
