I'm due January 6th, so I'm about 26.5 weeks now. The past few weeks I've gotten up about 8am and am asleep by 10:30 or so. Yesterday I was so tired I had to take a 2.5 hour nap in the afternoon. I was in bed watching TV by 8 and fought to stay awake long enough to watch desperate housewives :LOL

The only other time I've had a long nap and been dog tired by 8 was in early and late pregnancy. It seems a bit early to be here again already. I'm thinking maybe I'm coming down with something.

Is anyone else really fatigued again already? I still feel pretty great, just sleepy.

omg me too! I told my husband the other night that I'm so sorry, but I just can't stay awake any longer. It feels exactly like 1st trimester sleepiness.

Well, for me, last month I had low iron and my thyroid was off. Both are fixed now and I have to say that this is waaaay better. However, I could easily go to sleep every night with DD at about 8/8:30 (in addition to napping 1-2 hours a day with her) but I usually have too much stuff to do so I force myself out of bed after she falls asleep.

I fight to stay awake without a nap sometimes, because I tend to get insomnia, even if I am dog tired at 9:pm! Sometimes when I can't concentrate, I will take a nap, and that doesn't interfere with night sleep, usually ;)

Yes, I am exhausted. I don't remember this happening at this point with the first two pgs, but I also think I slept better with the first two. I am just as tired as I was at first and this began about a week ago. Last night, I was in bed at 8 pm and tonight I am headed there by 9 pm. And usually I'm a real night owl, up until at least 11:30 pm. I hope this doesn't last for the whole third trimester!

My midwife just told me that any kind of extreme fatigue is usually hormonal.

She also said we are growing the placenta during the middle trimester and so need to eat really, really well and rich in plant foods. It will either be smaller and thick, or large and thin (if it is reaching across the uterus for more nourishment).

She is requiring me to take a nap EVERY day, up to two hours. She said ideally, the human animal in this phase of pregnancy would be sleeping 12 hours a day!!!! But of course, that ain't happenin'!!! :)

I felt more tired a few days ago, so i took a nice two hour cat nap. but it could be because I'm having a hard time sleeping at night now. Getting comfy is a challenge. i have insomnia too, but it doesn't matter how tired i am, i *always* have a hard time falling asleep at night, so i take the nap anyway. at least then I'm not tired all the time then.

I tend to get tiredin the evening now. I have been striving to take a nap every day since my first pregnancy though and I do whenever I can. I'm actually feeling fairly energetic the past week or so, I still get tired though, energy boost or not.

Most nights I fall asleep around 8:30-9pm with dd's....the only reason I'm up late tonite is I couldn't sleep due to reflux and hip pain. Ugh.
