I sometimes hear a strange popping sound when the baby is moving around, particularly if it's a big movement. The only way to describe the sound is this: you know the sound it makes when you take 1 fingernail under another fingernail and sort of click it? Does that make any sense??? You'd have to have fingernails to understand, I don't think nail biters could accomplish this sound. I know, it sounds odd, but I had the same thing with my first 2 babies, only this time around I'm hearing the clicky sound much more often. I wonder what it is? Can baby bones crack? Seems like they'd be much too soft to crack.

How interesting... I hear that sound inside my skull sometimes when I'm walking around because the vertibrae in my neck are way out of alignment... but never heard of it happening with babies. Sorry I'm no help.

Bethany, on a couple of occasions, I have heard an odd noise accompanying a big move from the baby. I have no idea what it is. I have to just assume it's some form of normal since it's happened in every pregnancy.

This was discussed a little while ago on the ICAN yahoo group! I got a total deja vu reading your post. Several women in the group had this, with multiple pregnancies as well. Apparently it's nothing to be concerned about - it just happens with some people/babies.

I've been noticing this sound too, very odd, I'm glad I'm not the only one! :wink

Wow, I'm really relieved that I'm not the only one.
