Is there a reason to get a pool other than more space? My last kid was just born in the bathtub. And it was much cheaper ;)

ETA: This isn't a snarky question, Im really just curious.

Mine is always nasty and I dont want to have to scrub it out last minute. Plus I am worried about the cleaner hiding in the jets or something! LOL

Good point, we don't have jets but I can see the concern with that.

Well, I would prefer a birth tub (actually my midwife's tubs are rubber cattle troughs!) because the bathtub is made out of metal and very uncomfortable. Plus, the birth tub is much taller and will hold more water than the bath, so more room to get my whole body immersed. And we can have it in the livingroom, which provides more room (and comfortable surroundings) for the midwife/doula/husband to sit around while i'm laboring. In the bathroom they'd have to sit on the toilet or the floor :LOL

LOL, mine too. Our sinks and main part of our bathroom are separate from the tub......the part the tub is in is just a toilet and a tub. HAHAHA It would get MIGHTY squishy in there. LOL

Way deeper, more comfortable, and more room. When I lay on my back in my tub it doesn't even cover my stomach, and how is that at all a pain reliever?

Plus, the pool I want is all of $17 so it's really not a massive expensve.
