I wouldn't worry about it. My boys loved being transverse and were offand on until at least 30 weeks. They'd spend most of their time head-down, but they loved being transverse too, especially before 28 weeks. This baby is head-down though it's known to turn transverse from time to time too. Never been breech, none of my kids have. Baies can turn right up until they come out, so I would just relax and enjoy all those side kicks and not give it too much thought :)

I feel kicks way low, so I figure when he's not transverse (which is often), he is breech. I am not too worried, although I do make DH sing towards the "exit," so baby knows which ways is up! (or down, as the case is :D). I want to make up a little chart like on spinningbabies.com to see where my baby is. I can't feel a hard spot, though. I think I may be feeling the back from tme to time, cuz its long, but I have no clue! :)

I just saw my midwives yesterday and they told me the baby is head down. I am 25 weeks 3 days. I know, and they concurred, that the baby is still moving positions though. I also sometimes feel him or her very down low, or up high, and sometimes a little on both sides, like the baby is laying sideways across my abdomen.

They gave us some info about optimal fetal positioning and some exercises to do, and when to start to do them. It was different for first time moms and moms expecting a subsequent baby. There is probably info out there about this, but if anyone wants I could dig out my info and post about it.

Wherevern it can most easily pummel my cervix/bladder......... seriously. With ds I always had the cute little baby kicks and rolls on the outside, this one feels all internal, and gross, like little surprise mini internals. lol.

The last time the MW was here the heartbeat was in the lowerright (my right) which is also the hardest part of my belly along the right so I suspect the baby is head down on the right and facing inward. My MW said we would check the position again at the appt at the end of this month and if it was in a bad position we would start working to move it.

However if this on is anything like ds he will be perfectly positioned waaaaay to early. My ds dropped LOW in my pelvis at around 37 weeks, so low that the MW couldn't find his head except by internal, and you could feel his head behind my pelvic wall about 1/2" into my vagina. Everyone though he would be early because of that but on no! He just hung out there crushing my whole pelvis untill 42 weeks!

Cheers

He was hanging out on my right side at my last midwife appt, which is where I think he hangs out most of the time, in a transverse position. I was telling her where I had been feeling most of the kicks, and she said it likely meant he was posterior. She found his heartbeat almost immediately on the right side. But even she couldn't tell from palpating what position he's in. (Apparently, I have a very firm uterus. Either that or abs, because I'm ticklish and I hate having my uterus palpated!)

Last night, I spent some time talking to him about optimal fetal positioning, and visualizing him in the correct postion. But it's not a huge concern for me yet, since I know babies are still moving like crazy at this point. But I did decide to stop hanging out on my back so much. And doing more pelvic rocks. I felt big kicks in the top of my uterus, and little ones down low, so last night I think he was head down. This morning, at this very moment actually, I feel some kicks in my left upper region, and so I think he's kinda transverse again.

This was me until about 2 weeks ago. Now, Baby is head down but likes to rotate around (posterior, anterior, transverse...)

Not sure yet which position baby is in, but he/she has definately started to make him/herself comfy cozy in my ribs today :LOL . Well...as long as baby's comfy :) My son was head down by 7 months. I have a mw appointment on Monday, so maybe I'll find out then.

I shouldn't have spoke so soon! Tonight baby is breech. Kicks are VERY low and head is so high I can't breathe or even sit.
Whew, who knew this could be so uncomfortable!

Baby is head down! He turned a couple of nights ago during a meeting at my conference. It was so crazy, He was moving ALOT, and then all of a sudden, this FOOT juts out toward the side of my stomach. So weird! Dr. confirmed it at my appt. on Friday--my last monthly appt. My next one is in two weeks!

As of my last midwife appointment Carys is head down. But honestly, I wouldn't have really known that. She tends to kick me most on my left side a bit higher up but she's a wiggler. She's been known to kick all over. Since this is my first pregnancy, I have no idea what to feel for or what things like kick locations really mean.

Victoria-- Michael kicks ALOT. Not only does he kick, but he stretches his feet out for long periods of time. It is obvious it is his foot, because it is small and "rectangular" in shape-- not his head or butt, and too narrow to be his hand. I don't know if most babies are this squirmy, so you may not be able to recognize shapes until later. It is great just to sit and focus on his little body moving in my belly (I do this in church!!! :p).
