Is it the First or Second...

Let's see if someone else can remember this. :p

I remember reading in a child development book that when you get to the stage where you start offering your child choices, that most kids either pick the first or second choice. So if you'd much rather her have cheerios instead of applejacks then you offer the cheerios first. Or maybe second LOL. I just don't remember.

Anyone know? :D

I just test my dd on it and see which it is for that day/hour. Usually it's the second. She's 23 mos.

For young kids it's the second. Don't be surprised though if she figures it out pretty quickly. Mine did.

LOL - yes, the second - and it wasn't long until she discovered on her own that neither was a choice. :LOL

I just checked with my ds... he repeated both options. I guess he wanted both? Or maybe he's just confused...

I would only offer those items that are cool with me. And that are in the cabinet. I couldn't possibly figure this out, as sometimes I can't even tell my left from right. :LOL
