Hi everyone,
One of my mom's friends is 8 weeks pregnant and went to the ER for chest pain, and they did a chest x-ray to rule out lung mass. I was pretty surprised when I heard that - I always thought any x-rays besides dental were contraindicated in the first trimester. Does anyone know what the risk of birth defects is? She was already 8 weeks, which is better than 3 or 4 I guess...but I can't find any concrete information.
