Hello everyone. :)
I'm Kris, momma to four girlies. I'm still dealing with PPD. I think I had a bit with each child, but it got worse with each one. It wasn't noticable until my third. I went to the Doc at my 6 week appointment and told him what I was feeling, and he told me he could send me home on Zoloft, but I'd have to quit nursing. So, needless to say, I went home empty-handed and continued breastfeeding.
This time around it got severe. I let it go thinking it would "go away" like it did last time, but it got worse and worse. When Avianna was 6 months old I went to the Doctor who was VERY concerned. I was first put on Paxil which did help for a while. I did gain a lot of weight on it and began to feel sick all of the time after a few months, so I was then switched to Prozac. I feel wonderful now.
I notice now that the PPD with my third probably never "went away" like I thought it did. I haven't felt this good in YEARS. Now, I like to think of myself as an advocate for mommas who have PPD.
I hope to get to know all of you! :thumb
