I'm wondering if anyone here has ever tried Progesterone cream for PPD? Women who get PPD have a greater than average drop in this hormone after delivery, I would think that is why they benefit from eating the placenta, it's probably loaded with this hormone, we get other hormones from meats, why not this too? You can get natural plant made progesterone from wild yam. Has anyone gone that route? If so, how was your success? When I had to be on this after my hysterectomy it took about 5 weeks for me to feel the full effect for the flashes and mood swings. Just curious if there was any link to the levels and replacing them. It would be an alternative to try 'vs' anti-depressants. And no side effects. It's a great mood inhancer, I don't think it should be taken long term however, the body does go back into balance after a few months and regulate itself.
