Hi, I am having a hospital birth and I really want a doula to assist me in keeping the birth as natural as possible. We plan on hiring a doula no matter what, but we're on a very tight budget and would really prefer a doula-in-training who could assist us at a discounted rate. Is there any way to search for them? Thanks!

We found our doula in training through our Bradley childbirth class. If you contact a Bradley teacher in your area you may be able to find someone that way :p

I was just browsing through some other messages and found these websites that other people gave to find a doula-in-training. I guess they list both so you can just look at the ones who are still training.

There is a "contact us" section on the website. Try contacting them and seeing if they can refer you to a doula in training. Or you can look for the trainer in your area and contact her directly. I'm sure she's be able to point you in the right direction since she's the one who trains all the doulas.

My trainer gave our names out to moms looking for training doulas.

It's bellywomen.net that has the doula listings :)
