I didn't know where to post this, but I don't know how to take it other than they're out to get the lesbian mamas. I don't know what else this bill could be about. If there's a better place to post this, please move it. (btw, I am not a lesbian or bisexual mama, so I've never been to this forum, please forgive me if this was inappropriate.) I am APPALLED by this proposed bill! I don't see any way it could pass (of course, I'm from the East coast, so maybe I'm too optimistic?), but I can't believe anyone would think this up in the first place!

Read about that and it's the most shameful, disgusting thing I've ever heard. I have to believe that people wouldn't stand for that. If they do, DH & I need to find a new place to live. This country has gone to heck. It just disgusts me....

Horrifying! "Unauthorized reproduction" sounds just like something from Orwell or Atwood.

The witch ( :mischief ) dropped the bill b/c she said it would be too complexto enforce. However, she has siad that she is going to try to do something with it for this next legislative session that starts in January. She is thinking of changing some of the wording or something. But for now the proposed bill has been dropped.

Do I really live in the same world as these people?

Unbelieveable. Affects straight people too, even those who *are* married, as everyone would have to file the petition to try and get their "certificate." Please. It would punish everyone needing to use assisted fertility, and who do you think would pay the court fees? I bet judges are not too excited about the prospect either.
Thankfully, I have to doubt it will ever pass.
