Seriously, I am in such a fog, I'm sure its a combination of hormones and physical exhaustion, but I can't focus on anything. I am normally a very organized and on top of things person who gets bored easily, but now I'm just in a daze. I remember getting quieter and more introverted with ds's pregnancy, but nothing like this. I feel like all my physicla energy gets taken up with ds and my brain has been swallowed by this new baby. I can't focus to read, I can barely motivate myself to get chores done, and I can't work up much interest in conversations.......I feel like and idiot. I feel like I have that foggy feeling you get with a bad fever, but it never goes away. lol.
Nothing helps either, not caffein, not excersize, nothing! Mind you it does make sitting around the house with ds all day easier, I don't get as bored. I think I could sit on the floor with him and happily stare at the wall all day.....
Am I the only one?
Cheers

Thank you for bringing this up- I'm having a heck of a time at work. Today I had to ask my boss to put something she was telling me in writing, because I literally didn't understand her. This is work I know and understand, and I felt like such an idiot. I could just stare off into space for hours. Can't focus on anything. Yikes.
Foggily yours,
Mary

Yes!
This is so different that my first pregnancy! I'm almost a danger to myself and others at this point!
Let's cross our fingers that PP brain will be better than PG brain! (HA!)

My midwife said it's hormonal. She did actually give me a homeopathic remedy to balance my homones and it is working splendidly. I am also upping my protein.

It's called Placenta Brain or Preggo Brain. It turns into Mama Brain soon after birth. Years later, still dumb ;) My mom swears you "get it back" when they get older. My oldest is 7, I'ma lready planning my return-o-the-brain party ;)

I still have Mama Brain :bouncy , so nothing new for me :) Not near as clumsy, though, as I was with my first pregnancy, and boy, was I clumsy! :down

Ooh, ooh! Can I join the Official Zoners Club, too??
I'm in a total fog these days. It's just so bizarre for me cuz it's the opposite of how I usually am. I can't remember things I'm supposed to be doing. I forget what I'm saying halfway through the sentence. I try to make lists at work but forget what to put on them and then forget to read them. It's hilarious. Well it would be if it weren't so frustrating! :LOL

I can totally relate to you guys! I am in a fog all day: the most challenging thing I am capable of is walking to the post office once a day! I too am slacking on housework (and this after getting "false nesting instincts"). And, to make matters worse, our denomination is going through a split which DH doesn't agree with. Normally, we would have huge philosophical conversations, but I just get frustrated, because I can't come up with anything good, even though I was AT the discussions and he wasn't, so I should know WAY more than him :p!
Also, I used to be the "know-it-all" around the house-- I knew where anything and everything was, when appts were, etc. Now, if I don't write it down IMMEDIATELY, I will forget appts. I will forget that I even made them! Dh ets really frustrated, because he is naturally absent-minded, and now I am just as bad as him! hopefully we will both survive this pregnancy! We were joking about losing track of the baby, because we are both so loopy :D.
