I am on day 16 of lexapro now, I feel slightly better since I upped the dose to 10 mg. However, there are periods of the day where I feel very scared at the thought of being alone. Almost a paranoid feeling of myself. Is this a side effect of the lexapro or should I be concerned and try to switch to a different med? Maybe I feel scared because I don't want to ever be in the position to hurt my kids. I know deep down I never would, but the thoughts of it scare me.
I did finally sleep on my own last night without any medication, but the side effects are still pretty bothersome. Especially the dizziness. Please help, I need some advice!

Hi mama,

:hug

I don't have any insight to offer about the feelings of paranoia, I'm afraid, as I have not experienced that feeling whilst taking Lexapro - Prozac was another matter :nut The dizziness could just be the side effect of having upped your dose - how long ago did you start taking the higher dose? What time of day do you take your meds? I take mine at night, and find that I sleep better, and also avoid the dizziness and spaciness.

If you need/want to, feel free to PM me - you can vent away!
