TV-Free Emoticon/Smilie?

There's tons of emoticons here; but, I was wondering if their might be room for another? I was thinking a little tv in a circle with a line through it or something like that (but I don't have a whole lot of imagination).

Any smilie designers want to try? Anyone else up for that?

I'd love a TV-free one. I like the idea of TV in black letters in a red circle with a line through it, but....

for those of us who do watch TV but who don't let our kids watch it (which is many of us), could we ALSO consider doing a second smilie, something like a child holding a banner saying TV Free, or No TV for Kids banner or something. I'm not very creative. :o

I really like Juli1899's emoticon. And I think it could do double-duty -- just add "children" immediately after the emoticon in your siggie, or "family" or "life" or "home" or anything like that. The emoticon doesn't have to be exceptionally specific. I often use emoticons as part of an idea in a post.

I like it, but I still wish there was a circle/slash over the TV, maybe at the end?
I don't really want a tv sitting in my siggie. It's not just about the tv being off, but also GONE!

To make moving emoticon I make an image in photoshop and then copy that image (its actually making a new layer) and with the copied image/layer I tweak it. I do that over and over, move it onto imageready and figure out the spacing between each image.

I like the "X" bc it's not so easy to read the text and even if you could, it still looks like a working tv.

Either an "X" or a "Circle/slash" - actually, I think I'd like the "circle/slash" as it is the universal symbol for "no - whatever is in the circle"

Oh, I had no idea there was already a thread on this topic. Being TV free is an integral part of my natural parenting style. I'm not militant about it for others in that if people are happy with their TV-watching style, that's great for them. The people I want to support are those who would like to watch less or even get rid of TV but who aren't quite there yet.

For me, it took a few years of thinking about it, some good models of households that did it, having my TV stolen twice, and then a move abroad to finally cut out TV for good. It's something that I wanted to do but had mixed feelings about or a feeling that it couldn't be done or that I'd be bored without it and not know what to do or that I'd not know what is going on in the world.

This is why I would like a TV-free emoticon, to let people who are interested know that there are alternatives to a TV household.

I like the idea of a sort of generic TV-free emoticon that doesn't say TV-free kids or anything specific so a variety of familes who don't have TVs can use it and add a phrase with it, if they want to be more specific.
