My doppler died a few weeks ago, and I am looking for a new one. Anyone have any suggestions on brands and/or online stores that sell dopplers? I bought my last one on Ebay, and I won't do that again. :irked:
TIA for your input.

well, I used to be a huge Huntleigh fan, but my case broke easily after having it for 2 years. I have heard from other mws that they are seeing this happen alot, too, with Huntleighs.
There are a few newer dopplers advertised in Midwifery Today - I just got a Sonicaid from the UK that I like. The audio quality isn't as great as the Hunteligh (if there's too much gel it gets staticy), but I really like it alot.
IMEX makes great dopplers, their Elite dopplers are good, but a bit tinny in the sound. They are solid units, though, and last.

I didn't do too bad with the one I got on ebay-- I got mine from stork radio and had a warrantee
before that I had a sonicaid and I really love that doppler well sealed and doesn't break easily.
Have worked with someone else's huntleigh and it was broken and for something "water proof" it was very cheaply/poorly sealed

I recently got a thing in the mail from Cascade that actually advertised a doppler sale... here is their site, they do doppler rentals too if that interests you.

Thanks for the link! :thumb I am still shopping around, but Cascade does offer several different brands and models, and I liked their comparison chart.
I wish that I had gotten a warrantee with my doppler that I bought on Ebay, but I bought it from an individual and it was very staticy from the get-go, and then it just stopped working a few weeks ago. If I'm going to have to drop that much money on another one, I think I'll just buy one new one that is guaranteed to work.
Pam, what model of the Sonicaid do you have and do you have a link to the supplier that you bought it from? Thanks again!

I like cascade too. Second this recommendation.

I have a huntleigh and I don't think that I would ever buy anything else. The sound quality is so far superior to anything else that I've ever heard before (we practiced with quite a few kinds in school). It may be different for others though I have a steadily worsening hearing loss in my left ear so for it to be as clear as possible is really important for me.

I have this one: CareDop (http://www.cascadedopplers.com/nicolet_dopplers/nicolet_caredop_fetal_doppler/) with the 3MHz probe and it rocks. I have used several types but mine is my favorite. It's super sensitive, I found my own baby's fht at just 7.5 weeks. :)
