.. and I don't like it. :( Its scratchy and uncomfortable and doesn't seem to be helping much. I know I know..I've only had it a few hours..but I expected some kind of relief. So far it just makes me feel clausterphobic. It supports my belly well, but my pain is my SI joint not my lower back. :crap Did I mention its almost impossible to sit down and breathe with this thing on?

Okay.... vent over.

Have you tried wearing it over your panties? That helped with the itchiness for me. My problem was that my tummy was too heavy and I got lots of ligament pain. I found it didn't help at ALL with my back pain (had mid back pain). I don't really use it anymore. It was a pain to take off when I had to pee, though! Mine has a back brace, as well as a belly belt and a removable elastic band to go over my belly.

Sounds a lot like the way I feel about my lovely support hose. By the end of the day, I am ready to rip them off. Of course, I have to PEEL them off, which doesn't bring nearly as much joy. Arrrggh!

What style is it? Mine is a very simple ~5" wide elastic band with velcro. When I needed belly support I could wear it on an angle to hold up my belly. For sacral support, I wear it really tightly around my hips.

I wear it over my pants with a longer maternity shirt. I couldn't stand it on my skin. And I take it off when I sit down because it gets too tight like that.

If you can't change angles of it or wear it over clothes, could you exchange it for one that you could?

Give it some time. I really do feel better after a walk or standing for a long time or whatever if I wear it even if it has its own quirks.

Okay, so one question... am I supposed to take it off when I sit down? Because its REALLY uncomfortable sitting. It digs into me and folds over and... just generally a mess!

I'm not sure what your care provider has suggested, but I leave my belt on when I'm just sitting quick to put on shoes or soemthing but take it off if I'm going to sit for a meal or whatever. Mine is very quick to put on and take off, though.

Ouch! I left it on when I was sitting the other day to cut out fabric and the next day I couldn't even walk! Yikes!! It seems leaving it on made things worse.

What kind do you have? I got a Mini Cradle and it's pretty comfy, not itchy at all and maybe 3-4 inches wide, but plenty supportive for me.

I HATe those things, but just found an AWESOME alternative that keeps me from hiking up my pants all day (I'm out of Mediums as they are too small but my Larges are too big).

This thing ROCKS!

Not only does it help keep my pants up but it gets rid of that annoying pant line I always get in my matenrity pants. (you know that big line across your belly where your pants end)

I wish I had foudn it earlier, as I could've worn regular clothes longer!

Can't wait to try it postpartum!

BTW, I got it locally at our mall, at Mimi Maternity, but looks pretty available online too. (mine was $28)
