Ok, so dh and I had a wonderful sex life before pregnancy. Never ever did I have any pain, yeast infections anything. Fast forward to pregnant Ryver...the problem is not him at all! It is me, when we have sex it BURNS!! I've not been able to have sex in a while because I'm just scared of the burning. It is driving me crazy because well I feel all wonderfully goddessey and want to share that with DH. We have also started the perinium massages, One finger no burn, 2 ooooowweeee owie. Now my mw said I "was a bit yeasty" So I've been taking monistat, and last night was my last night for that. So, please tell me there is some relief for this? I can take pressure, but the burning is killing me! :irked:

i felt that same burn you describe for a while...i can't remember how long now, several months. i don't think it was related to yeast as much as raweness and all that. basically i didn't feel completely comfortable with actual penetration for about a year. i know that sounds long but we defintely fooled around in many other ways... :wink
i'm glad dh was understanding and allowed me to heal the way i needed.

I'd guess it's a yeast infection. I had the same thing, and it was a yeast infection, and I treated it - no more troubles.

I would back off the perinium massage at least for now and when you are ready to try to have sex again use a really good lube like astroglide. I have been irritated before when DH used his hands and they were not super clean. Have you thought about that? Or maybe he is washing his hands but the Ph in the soap is too high for your vagina.
I read a lot about perinial massage when I was pg and there is a lot of conflicting evidence on whether it actually helps. Most of what I read said that it is great and very helpful during labor but that massage during pregnancy did not help.
I hope you're feeling more like yourself soon.

Oh, I had the same thing. That's how we knew I was pregnant with my 3rd! Ouch. DH would be itchy for a couple days after sex too.
I definitely had yeast and also bacterial infections during pregnancies. I used garlic and acidopholus and that cleared it up.

I have it, too, and it sucks. Especially since Iam "suppossed" to be having "Tons of Sex" for starting labor.............yeah right!
I did a monistat pack, i take acidophilus, i have been avoiding sugars.,....but no one is touching me there it is SO irritated. Thank God we are doing a U/C I couldnt even imagine doctors digging around I would cry.

sounds like a yeast infection to me- monistat cleared that up for me but my midwife said that monistat/ OTC creams don't work on some types of yeast so you may need an Rx cream. Then take lots of acidophillus.
Being pregnancy throws off the hormone balance and makes yeast overgrowth really common. you definately want to get that taken care of before you have to give birth! I can't even imagine how painful that would be!
