Please check out www.dona.org there are a lot of doulas listed for LA on there. If you want someone in training you can write an email to referrals@dona.org with city state and zip. they will sent you back a list of those who are certified and working on cert. Best wishes!

Or you could venture out and try CAPPA.net, or ALACE (http://www.alace.org) or ICEA (http://www.icea.org) or in LA (http://www.bestdoulas.com/hypnobirth.htm) or others. DONA isn't the only one. :)
